Light and refreshing Berry Ginger Smoothie! Naturally sweetened, packed with antioxidants, and has a nice gingery kick. Great as a quick breakfast or a midday snack.
Ingredients
1 cup frozen blueberries
1 cup frozen strawberries
2 handfuls of greens (spinach/kale/chard)
1 tablespoon minced or grated fresh ginger
1½ cups filtered water
½ cup unpasteurized apple cider (sub orange juice or other juice of choice)
Optional: 1-2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar (or sweetener of choice)
Instructions
Place 1 cup frozen blueberries, 1 cup frozen strawberries, 2 handfuls of greens, 1 tablespoon minced or grated fresh ginger, 1 ½ cups filtered water, ½ cup unpasteurized apple cider (or juice of choice), and 1-2 tablespoons honey or agave nectar (if using) into a blender.
Blend on high until fully mixed, about 1 minute.
Pour into 2 large glasses.

Notes
*If using fresh blueberries or strawberries, add 2-4 ice cubes.
